TV Tower with sightseeing in Tallinn

The view from Tallinn TV Tower is unique in Estonia as well as in all of Northern Europe.

The captivating Tallinn Old Town and the glistening Baltic Sea in all of its majestic glory are off in the distance. When Estonia was still behind the Iron Curtain, this was for many Estonians a window on the free world – at night one could even catch sight of the lights of Helsinki. To illustrate the view, visitors can use multimedia screens: to increase the area visible in it or seeing what the place looked like in the past. The exhibition is on the second floor and introduces the history of the TV Tower from its construction as a prestige building to be unveiled for the 1980 Olympic regatta up to its reopening in 2012. The exhibition gives a good overview of the nostalgic 1980's and the watershed events of 1991 when Estonia regained independence.

Bus tour introduces the centre of Tallinn city, Kadriorg Park, Convent of St Bridget in the Pirita suburb and the famous Song Festival Ground. The guide gives a brief overview of Estonian history. The tour continues at TV Tower where the group will have a guided tour for approximately one hour.

Total duration of the tour is approximately 3 hours.

Group size: 10-40 pax
